Amy Miller, PA-C

Growing up in an Italian family centered around family meals and food she was active in sports at a young age and weight was never a concern.  Until, like many, she entered her college years and her struggle with weight gain began prompting her own weight loss journey.  Through her own struggles with body image and other weight related issues she developed a desire for educating, motivating, and encouraging others to develop healthier lifestyles to help them achieve their individual weight loss goals.

However, it was not until after years of clinical practice and ultimately the COVID-19 pandemic that her passion for improving her patient’s health through weight loss and lifestyle changes intensified.  The pandemic highlighted the need for a shift in focus from brief patient encounters centered around treating diseases as they present to a more thoughtful, individually-tailored approach focusing on how lifestyle changes, nutrition, and weight loss can both prevent and treat chronic disease.

“Sharing a similar passion for serving the community in this field of medicine made partnering with Dr. Geidl at Northwest Metabolic Medicine an obvious choice and I am proud to be a part of what her practice offers individuals in Northern Idaho.”
